Hello lovely readers, I would like to say that Spring has sprung here but it wouldn’t be true. We’re in what I refer to as ‘false spring’ and ‘I don’t know which coat to wear when I go out’ weather. The daffodils are providing an optimistic brightness and it’s no longer dark in the morning so I’ll take it and hope for more. I did visit Hay On Wye last week, which is known as ‘Book Town’ because there are more second hand bookstores there than anywhere else in the country—40+ I believe in a very small space. It was great fun to wander through all the shops which sold everything from leather bound tomes to paper comics. There’s also a castle there which was home to a very determined warrior woman called Matilda De Braose who came to a horrible end due to bad King John. Onto book news. I’m writing book three of my Regency romance series, tentatively entitled Falling For The Fake Rake and I’m enjoying putting Olivia and her hapless suitor through the wringer. I’m working on a synopsis for the next cosy mystery and a new historical fiction idea, so lots of ideas germinating even though there might not seem to be much activity. Here’s the cover for my upcoming historical fiction novel about Mary Quant, swinging London, and her many connections with the United States. Did you know she designed a whole clothing range for teens at J C Penney?
Have a great month, Kate Millcastle Special Collectors' EditionsAvailable only from katepearcebooks.comThe benefit of having my own online store is it gives me the freedom to play and create gorgeous new versions of my books with all the shiny details I love. For the Millcastle series, I wanted to design special editions that feel just as rich and romantic as the stories themselves. These hardbacks feature a stunning matt cover with gold foil, a crimson bookmark ribbon, sprayed edges, and beautifully printed end papers. Inside, you’ll also find decorative chapter headers and ornate scene breaks you won’t see in any other edition. These keepsakes truly are a beautiful, timeless addition to your bookshelf.
A free kinky romance book for you: Mastered by Desire by Calista JayneGoing once, going twice, sold…to my best friend’s brother. My best friend’s older brother has always kept me in the friend-zone. It doesn’t hurt my feelings when he ruffles my hair and puts on the protective brother act. And when he glowers at my recent ex who keeps sniffing around, it’s because he cares. Not because he wants me for himself. At least, that’s what I tell myself until one night changes it all. The BDSM club where he works puts on an auction once a month. I need money, and this is the fastest way to get some. When I get up on stage, everything changes. Because at the end of this night spent with him and another man, the boundaries around the friend-zone are shattered. I know what he tastes like and he’s seen my O face, and nothing will ever be the same again. Mastered by Desire is the first book in a ménage romance series loaded with sexytimes and melodrama. If you like MFM romance, kinky fun, and angst, fall in love with this threesome today! Content warnings (may contain spoilers!): This book does not stand alone. It includes explicit sex scenes between consenting adults, sex work, Dominance/submission, ménage, breath play, emotional manipulation, kidnapping, and mild violence.

Hello lovelies! I have to say that April in the UK is a constant guessing game about which coat to wear, whether it’s going to rain in five minutes, or if you need to put sunscreen on, sometimes all in one day! I do love seeing the blossom and the emerging flowers though, it always makes me feel hopeful even in challenging times. I’m still writing away at all kinds of things but the next book actually coming out will be my historical fiction Chelsea Girls under Catherine Lloyd in June. It’s...
Hello lovelies, and are we all pleased that January is finally over? My birthday’s in January so I always enjoy that, but not much else. We didn’t have any snow just lots of rain. I did get to visit Jane Austen’s House in Chawton, which was inspiring, and my husband took me out for lunch at a lovely restaurant called The Pig, so I had a wonderful day! Book wise it’s time to think about what I’m writing this year. You’ll be getting book 2 in the Regency historical romance series, How To Ruin A...
Happy new year my lovelies! We had the tiniest sprinkling of snow this morning, but the sky is still blue, and the sun is shining, so I don’t mind the cold. We had a lovely Christmas with our kids, heard Christmas carols sung by the world famous Wells Cathedral choir, walked the Christmas light trail at Stourhead, (a National Trust stately home), and watched all our favourite movies. I hope you all had an excellent holiday season, too! I finished up two projects over the holidays: How To Ruin...
