Hello lovelies, and are we all pleased that January is finally over? My birthday’s in January so I always enjoy that, but not much else. We didn’t have any snow just lots of rain. I did get to visit Jane Austen’s House in Chawton, which was inspiring, and my husband took me out for lunch at a lovely restaurant called The Pig, so I had a wonderful day! Book wise it’s time to think about what I’m writing this year. You’ll be getting book 2 in the Regency historical romance series, How To Ruin A Rake, and I’m currently writing the third, which involves fake identities, forced marriage, and a couple who (eventually) bring out the very best in each other. I’ve also got a cozy historical mystery to write and I’ve started a full length Millcastle book with some new characters to widen that world. If you’d like a change of pace, I have a Catherine Lloyd book coming out this summer called Chelsea Girls, which is historical fiction about Mary Quant, the fashion designer, and the generation of women she influenced in the 1960’s. Also, I’m delighted to share that we’ve been cooking up some gorgeous special editions for the Millcastle series, which will be available exclusively on my online store. They’re so pretty I want to keep them all! Please don’t forget to check them out. I saw my first snowdrops yesterday, so let’s hope spring is on the way! Happy reading, Kate x Special Collectors' Editions!Available only from katepearcebooks.comThe benefit of having my own online store is it gives me the freedom to play and create gorgeous new versions of my books with all the shiny details I love. For the Millcastle series, I wanted to design special editions that feel just as rich and romantic as the stories themselves. These hardbacks feature a stunning matt cover with gold foil, a crimson bookmark ribbon, sprayed edges, and beautifully printed end papers. Inside, you’ll also find decorative chapter headers and ornate scene breaks you won’t see in any other edition. These keepsakes truly are a beautiful, timeless addition to your bookshelf.
Each book is printed to order from the UK, so please expect extra time for shipping. I would recommend choosing a tracked shipping option at checkout.
A free kinky romance book for you: Submission by LK ShawThe moment I laid eyes on Penny, her innocent, submissive nature called to my dominant side. I volunteered to guide her exploration into my dark and decadent world. I'm also playing a deadly game of cat and mouse with an obsessed psychopath whose goal is to destroy me. When my worlds collide, I'm forced to call it quits between us. Soon, I discover I'm too late, and she's caught in the crossfire. Now, I'll do anything to protect the woman I'm falling for.

Hello lovelies! I have to say that April in the UK is a constant guessing game about which coat to wear, whether it’s going to rain in five minutes, or if you need to put sunscreen on, sometimes all in one day! I do love seeing the blossom and the emerging flowers though, it always makes me feel hopeful even in challenging times. I’m still writing away at all kinds of things but the next book actually coming out will be my historical fiction Chelsea Girls under Catherine Lloyd in June. It’s...
Hello lovely readers, I would like to say that Spring has sprung here but it wouldn’t be true. We’re in what I refer to as ‘false spring’ and ‘I don’t know which coat to wear when I go out’ weather. The daffodils are providing an optimistic brightness and it’s no longer dark in the morning so I’ll take it and hope for more. I did visit Hay On Wye last week, which is known as ‘Book Town’ because there are more second hand bookstores there than anywhere else in the country—40+ I believe in a...
Happy new year my lovelies! We had the tiniest sprinkling of snow this morning, but the sky is still blue, and the sun is shining, so I don’t mind the cold. We had a lovely Christmas with our kids, heard Christmas carols sung by the world famous Wells Cathedral choir, walked the Christmas light trail at Stourhead, (a National Trust stately home), and watched all our favourite movies. I hope you all had an excellent holiday season, too! I finished up two projects over the holidays: How To Ruin...
